The cacao in these vegan coconut balls adds a velvety flavor and tons of antioxidants.

The dates add extra fiber and minerals and sweeten the taste. They’re essential to hold everything together.

FAQs

Can I use nut butter instead?

Yes, if you like. You may need to adjust the number of dates that you use, so it’s not too moist. Check out our Chocolate Bliss Balls instead to get the proportions right.

Add a little coconut to that recipe and consider adding some lemon juice too. The liquid moistens the mixture a little to compensate for the dryness of the coconut.

Are these coconut bliss balls nut-free?

No. If you have a nut allergy, steer clear of this recipe and our Peanut Butter Bliss Balls recipe.

Can I eat these on Keto?

Most certainly. You’ll need to keep them as an occasional snack, though. The dates are high in carbs. Other than that, make sure that you use unsweetened cacao powder and coconut.

How long will these be good for?

Keep them in the refrigerator for up to a week or in the freezer for up to three months. Honestly, though, these are best eaten as soon as possible. They start to dry out a little after three or four days.
