Foods You Can Eat

The E2M (Elimination to Metabolism) plan is not a weight loss program. It does not involve counting calories or eating foods based on how they affect your metabolism. You simply eliminate certain food groups from your daily menu. These include bread, cereals, pasta, rice, potatoes, beans, corn, sugar, white flour, dairy products, eggs, meat, poultry, fish, nuts, seeds, oils, butter, margarine, mayonnaise, salad dressings, condiments, snack foods, soft drinks, fruit juices, fresh fruit, alcohol, coffee, tea, and any other foods containing added sugars.

Regular dieting plans are not designed to help people quickly, safely, and effectively reach their weight loss/weight gain targets. However, they may be helpful for some people who want to lose weight fast.

You can eat as many of these types of food as you want:

  • You may eat meat, fish, and shellfish as often as you want.
  • Non-Starchy Veggies – Unlimited Amount of Broccoli, Cabbage, Lettuce, Tomatoes, Onions, and Peppers
  • Up to four servings of dairy per day (either milk or yogurt)
  • One apple, orange, banana, pear, grapefruit, kiwi, etc., is permitted per day.
  • Nuts and seeds – up to 4 servings per day
  • You may enjoy one piece of low-carb bread or two pieces of low-carb crackers per day, but be aware that each has more than four grams of carbohydrates and is not permitted during phase one of the CarbLovers Diet (the first three weeks).

E2M Diet Recipes

Based on the above-allowed foods, the following recipes may be suitable while you are on the E2M Diet. Keep in mind that some of the ingredients in these recipes may be not allowed, and therefore may need to be substituted.

You cannot eat

These foods should be avoided if you want to shed pounds:

  • White sug­ar. It’s not nutritious at all. It’s just empty calories.
  • White flour has a high degree of sophistication which means it’s not healthy for your diet.
  • To keep from gaining weight, limit your alcohol consumption to one drink per day for both men and women.
  • Fast foods. These meals are usually high in calorie and fat content, so it’s best to avoid them if you don’t wish to gain weight.
  • If you want to lose some pounds, avoid fried food altogether. They’re full of calories and not nutritious at all.
  • Saltier foods such as chips and pretzel sticks are often high in sodium. When you eat these foods regularly, they can lead to increased body fat. To keep from gaining too much body fat, cut back on your intake of salty snack foods. Replace them with healthier options such as fresh fruits.
