Gain lots of energy this summer

During the summer months, we normally burn more energy, therefore, we need to improve our diets to make sure we have enough fuel to keep us going. Heavy meat dishes aren’t always a great option. If you’re looking to gain enough energy but still feel great, go for lighter dishes. This means that we need to add light proteins to our diet. Think fish, eggs, salads, green vegetables, seeds and nuts. These items have the needed vitamins, protein and iron to keep you going during the hotter months. If you find that healthier meals are a little more expensive, remember to browse the Makro catalogues and keep an eye out for the latest Makro deals for excellent specials.

Summer is a great season to explore in the kitchen. Whether you are looking to just experiment with a few new dishes, or you want to change up your diet completely, summer is the perfect time to play. Buy a few fresh and healthy ingredients and try out a new dish or two to see what works for you. Keep it light, fresh and full of nutrition this season, you will need all the energy you can get. Remember the summer season can be quite draining!
