Swiss Milk Toffee
  • 4oz. (115gms) Butter
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 14oz. (395gms) Can condensed milk
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla
  1. Melt butter in a saucepan over low heat.
  2. Gradually add brown sugar, stirring constantly until sugar is dissolved. This should take approximately 7 minutes.
  3. Add condensed milk and bring to a simmer. Let boil for about 20 minutes on low, stirring occasionally. (You know when it’s done once the colour is golden brown).
  4. Remove from heat and add vanilla.
  5. Continuously stir for 7 minutes.
  6. Pour into a lined Lamington tin to set.
  7. Cut into squares when set.
