Country Fried Steak
Here are the ingredients you need to prepare Chicken Fried Steak.
  • 225g cube steak
  • Kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1½ cups whole milk
  • 2 cups all-purpose or seasoned flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 cup canola or vegetable oil
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  1. Preheat the oven to 110˚C.
  2. Pound the steak to thick pieces and season with salt & pepper. Mix the eggs and 1 cup of milk. In another dish, mix the 2 cups of flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, pepper, and onion powder.
  3. Deep the steaks in the flour and then in the egg mixture. Let the coating dry out for about 10-15 minutes.
  4. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until it reaches 190˚C.
  5. Fry the steaks for 3 minutes until they are crispy. Flip them and cook on the other side for 3 more minutes. Transfer the steaks to a baking sheet and season with salt.
